Eight protections are included automatically with every completed inspection, at no extra cost. Most are serviced by Residential Warranty Services (RWS) and RecallChek, the same providers used by inspectors nationwide. Below is a plain-language look at how each one works. Exact coverage limits, deductibles, and claim procedures are set by the official policy documents you receive after your inspection.
Download the full warranty guide (PDF)Every inspection is backed by a 90-Day Limited Structural and Mechanical Warranty, serviced by RWS. It covers the major systems your inspector found in working condition on inspection day, if something fails shortly after you move in.
You submit written notice along with a licensed contractor's repair estimate, showing the cause of failure and a parts-and-labor breakdown. There is no deductible, and claims are typically reviewed within a few business days of submission.
Doesn't cover conditions already noted in your inspection report, damage from acts of nature, or normal cosmetic wear.
If visible mold shows up after you move in that wasn't present or reported at the time of inspection, MoldSafe covers the cost of remediation, removing the mold itself, on permanently installed surfaces in the home.
You'll submit a remediation estimate from a licensed contractor along with the relevant pages of your inspection report showing no mold or moisture issues were noted in that area.
Covers removal of new visible mold, not repair of the moisture source causing it, and doesn't apply to mold resulting from floods or other insurable events.
SewerGard covers your home's main water line and sewer line, from the house to the point of utility connection, against failure caused by normal wear and tear rather than an obvious pre-existing issue.
A licensed contractor's estimate identifying the cause of failure and the repair cost is submitted along with your claim.
Doesn't cover damage from renovation work, third-party actions, or natural disasters. If a sewer scope was performed as part of your inspection, this coverage window is typically extended.
The Platinum Roof Protection Plan covers repair of new roof leaks on the inspected home for a full five years after your inspection, well beyond the 90-day window on the other protections. It applies to common residential roof types, including asphalt shingle, slate, metal, tile, and non-commercial flat roofs.
A licensed contractor's estimate identifying the leak and its cause is submitted for review.
Covers leak repair on the home itself, not full roof replacement, other structures on the property, or issues already noted in your original report.
Free technical support for the life of your ownership. Any home-related question that comes up, long after the inspection is done, is a phone call away.
This is informational support, not a substitute for hiring a licensed contractor for actual repair work.
Moving is its own project. One call sets up the utility accounts for your new home, phone, TV, internet, alarm systems, and more, coordinated through a single concierge service instead of contacting every provider separately.
During your inspection, model and serial numbers are recorded for major built-in appliances and HVAC equipment. Those numbers are checked against a national database of manufacturer recalls, covering well over 200 million recorded recalls, and monitored monthly going forward.
You'll receive a separate report, usually within 48 hours, explaining the nature of the recall, where the product was sold, and how to get it repaired or replaced, typically at no cost, since recall remedies are required by federal law.
If you attend the inspection and aren't satisfied for any reason, tell your inspector before the report is delivered. We'll make it right, or you don't pay the inspection fee.
Applies to the inspection service itself, not ancillary add-on services.
